The Great Depression Summary


The Great Depression Summary:
     The Great Depression has started since the end of World War I many citizens started to lose their jobs, the stock market was going down, and there were many people I debt. Issues about Hoover not helping out with the Great Depression and giving his seat as president forcibly by the citizens when the election for the new president. You can see how he gives Roosevelt all the problems of the Great Depression. American was destroyed as many people panicked and starved. This was said by the responsibility that Hoover gave to Roosevelt. The artist’s note was that when Roosevelt had won the presidential election he was given the task to stop what Hoover could not do. The baby in the basket was like the responsibility that Roosevelt had to take care of, it said all the problems that caused the Great Depression and had to be fixed most importantly. The method that was used labeling. The illustrator labeled what the baby said as the problems resembling economic problems, farmer problems, war debts, unemployment, bank problems, tariff, and budget. The other method was symbolism. They symbolized the baby as the responsibility that is put in front of Roosevelt door to take care of. There was American Imperialism when they have not interfered with any country and is helping the citizens to get out of the Great Depression. The Great Depression did not end very soon and a few of people did not like how Roosevelt and FDR was doing too little or too much we had gone past the wall when World War II started.
